The Perfect Treat!

Today's recipe is Amish Caramels. These yummy candies are the perfect fall treat and they are very easy to make! Adults, teens, and kids will all love these, even if they aren't fans of traditional caramel.

  1. Making Americanos is easy. If you have a moka pot or espresso machine, you will want to brew a small amount of coffee, and add a splash of milk or light steamed milk to the bottom of your cup. Pour the espresso and water into the cup, and then place a lid on top. Let the espresso steep for a few minutes as the heat draws the caffeine from the coffee. At this point, you can also add any fresh, chopped aromatics like cinnamon sticks, vanilla beans, or cloves. You can also put a touch of simple syrup, which contains sugar and water, but is richer than the granulated. At the end, add a little splash of milk or light steamed milk to the top, and place a lid on top. Let it steep a few minutes until the coffee and milk cool down, and you have a light, refreshing drink that will wake you up in the morning and keep you going until lunchtime. What is an Americano coffee?
